To all racers: While speed wins heats, the Championship is won through point management. Because this is a 6-round series, understanding the "Bonus Ceiling" is essential for your strategy.
Here is the exhaustive breakdown of how your season total is calculated.
1. The Scoring Ladder (Per Race Event)
Every one of the 6 rounds follows the same scoring hierarchy. Points are awarded based on your final standing at the end of each event.
Placement
1st Place (10 pts): Event Winner
2nd Place (7 pts): Runner Up
3rd Place (5 pts): Third Step
Semi-Finalist (3 pts): Points Finish
Participation (1 pt): Grid Entry (per race class)
Grid Entry
Note: Participation points are awarded once per race class (B-MAX and Box Stock). If you enter both, you start the day with 2 points toward your seasonal total regardless of where you finish.
2. The "Dominator" Bonus
In the spirit of the The Elite Series, we reward pure dominance. At the end of the 6-round series, we tally the total number of 1st Place finishes.
Award: +3 Points to the racer with the most wins.
The Strategy: If you are trailing by 2 points heading into the final round, winning that race doesn't just give you the 10-point bump—it could trigger the +3 bonus, creating a 13-point swing.
3. Cumulative Standings
Your total score is the sum of all 6 rounds plus any earned bonuses.
Why this matters: A racer who finishes 2nd in all six races (42 points + 6 participation = 48) will beat a racer who wins three races but fails to finish the other three (30 points + 3 participation + 3 bonus = 36). Consistency beats erratic performance.
4. Tie-Breaker Protocol: Sudden Death
If two or more racers are tied for the lead after the points are tallied at the end of Round 6, we do not look at "count-backs" (who had more 2nd places, etc.).
We go to the track for a Sudden Death Shootout:
The Format: A single 9-lap heat.
The Terms: First car to cross the finish line is the Grand Champion.
The Risk: If all tied cars Course Out (CO), the race is re-run once. If they CO again, the title is decided by the car that went CO last (last car running)
5. Strategy Tips for the Elite Series
Double Down: Since points are allocated per class, a "Double Podium" day (placing in both B-MAX and Box Stock) can net you up to 20 points in a single round, vaulting you up the standings.
Scrutineering: A disqualification at the inspection table results in 0 points for that round. Re-check your ground clearance (1mm+) and width (105mm) after every heat.
